CHANGES

IN PROCEDURES

RE EXAMINATION ADMINISTRATION

Please note that effective with the April 2003 examinations, the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), through its Engineering and Land Surveying Examination Services (ELSES) program, will be taking over administration of the examinations. This applies to both, the Principles and Practice and Fundamentals of Engineering examinations.

Please submit your completed application along with the applicable application fee directly to the Vermont Board. Examination fees are to be paid directly to the NCEES.

Submit $100.00 fee (payable to VT Secretary of State) with your Professional Engineer (Principles and Practice) application.

Submit $50.00 fee (payable to VT Secretary of State) with your Engineer Intern (Fundamentals of Engineering) application.

Once the Board has approved you to sit for an examination, you will be instructed to register for that examination, and submit applicable examination fees, directly to the NCEES (www.ncees.org). The Board will notify the NCEES that you are eligible to sit for the examination. The NCEES will add your name to its Roster of approved candidates.

Examination formats, study guides, sample questions, etc. are available from the NCEES via their Web site at: www.ncees.org. You may also contact them by phone at (864) 654-6824 or by fax at (864) 654-6033.

You may contact the Office at (802) 828-2875 or via E-mail at "cpreston@sec.state.vt.us," if you have questions or need additional information.
